We Are Environmentally Friendly!

• Taylor Clay Products add up to ten percent ground brick, or grog to our brick body. This eliminates any wasted brickbats by grinding them and using them with our raw materials. These pre-fired brick particles aid in drying the brick as well as keeping our environment cleaner.
• Taylor Clay Products operate a limestone dry scrubber to remove harmful hydrogen fluoride gases and allows us to release 98.9% clean air from our exhaust stacks. Taylor Clay Products was the first in North Carolina to install this type of kiln exhaust control device. This allows us to be certified as a Synthetic Minor classification instead of a Title V emissions point.
• Most of our raw materials are trucked from North and South Carolina. Some high quality fireclays are imported by rail from Ohio.
• Our product does not contain hazardous or toxic chemicals.
• All green and fired materials are recycled back into the production process.
• Three Modern brick kilns fire with natural gas for optimum fuel efficiency and product yield per dekatherm.
